Live Performance Videos

At least one week before your performance, I will meet with you, either by phone or in person, to go over the logistics of the shoot, take into account any special considerations or requests you may have, and to answer any questions.  You will need to supply me with a final set list, with each song annotated to indicate intro-verse-chorus-bridge progression and which musicians will be taking solos, if any.

It's important that you inform the venue well in advance that you plan to film your show.  Some venues may want to charge you a fee for filming.  After you've secured the venue's permission, I will contact them to iron out any final details pertaining to the shoot.

After your concert, I will edit the footage, add titles, and master the audio.  During this process, you will have an opportunity to review a preliminary edit of one of the songs on a private website that I will setup for you.  When the editing process is complete, you can purchase a DVD of the concert, as well as an audio CD, and identify which songs to upload to YouTube.

Filming (choose one of these options):

  • $85/hour – one camera (not recommended)
  • $130/hour – two cameras

Promotional Videos

Promotional videos can range from a simple product-focused demo to a dynamic television-style commercial, and everything in between.  Prior to filming and production, I will meet with you in person to understand the product or service being promoted, and to help you decide on the best approach and concept to achieve your promotional goal.

Based on the outcome of our discussions, I will develop a storyboard, and if necessary, write a script.  Once these are approved by you, filming can begin.

After filming is complete, I will process and edit the video.  Along the way, you will have an opportunity to review preliminary edits on a private website that I will setup for you.  When the final video is approved, I will provide you with the raw video file and can upload the video to YouTube for easy integration into your website and sharing on social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, etc.

Music Videos

Producing a high-quality music video can be an exciting and fun process, but to ensure everything goes as smoothly as possible, proper planning is required up front.  Long before we start filming, I will meet with you in person to review your song and discuss the look, feel, and concept for the video.

Based on our discussions, I will develop a storyboard.  A simple performance-oriented video will require just a few simple sketches, while a more intricate story-driven conceptual video will require a more depth and detail.  Shooting locations and other related logistics will need to be identified, as well.

I charge a flat daily rate for filming and directing a music video.  Even the simplest videos can take many hours to shoot, and a flat rate allows you to concentrate on getting the best video performance rather than worrying about the clock during the shoot.

After filming is complete, I will begin editing the video.  During this process, you will have an opportunity to review preliminary edits on a private website that I will setup for you.  When the music video is complete, I will provide you with the raw video file and can upload the video to YouTube for easy integration into your website and sharing on social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, etc.

Planning and Preparation:

  • $75-$250 range – initial design and storyboard, includes one revision.  Price depends on complexity of concept.
